Lawyers play many roles in the legal ecosystem. Join three legal professionals who've lived it from different angles—a practicing lawyer, a former practicing lawyer now guiding Georgetown Law students through career decisions, and a lawyer-researcher who studies legal careers and makes career discovery tools—to explore how you can navigate your path into law with intention.
We'll cover the practical moves that matter: making the most of prelaw mentorship, approaching career exploration strategically, conducting informational interviews, understanding pre-cruitment timelines, and leveraging resources like the I Am The Law podcast and Georgetown's career exploration tools.

Biography: 
Kristina Apple began her career as a corporate bankruptcy litigator in the Washington DC office of Milbank LLP, working on complex commercial and financial restructuring matters in and out of court. After several years, she pivoted to working in-house as a corporate transactional attorney for Amazon, focusing on a broad array of matters such as product counseling, contract negotiation, and regulatory issues at the intersection of privacy and technology. Most recently, Kristina joined the Office of Career Strategy at Georgetown Law as an Assistant Director, where she has spent the past two years advising students on career path planning, job search strategies, professional networking and development, and navigating a life in the law.

Kristina received her BA in Hospitality Management from Boston University and her JD from Georgetown University Law Center.
