About Pre-Law Conference

The Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Conference, Mock Trial Competition, and Law Expo is an educational and leadership opportunity where pre-law members meet fellow P.A.D.s, law school representatives from colleges and universities throughout the United States, and vendors including LSAT prep company representatives.

The 2026 conference will take place November 4-7, 2026 at the Hilton Alexandria Mark Center Hotel in Alexandria, VA.

Conference programming focuses on topics that educate members on leadership development, law school preparation, and current law-related topics and issues. To prepare members for leadership opportunities, a diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility lens is taken into consideration when presentations and content were selected. We also provide time for attendees to sight-see around Washington, D.C. and visit local law schools.

LAW EXPO

Designed to further help students make an educated decision about pursuing a legal degree and law career, the Law Expo is host to 100+ law schools and law school prep/LSAT prep companies. Some even offer discounts and law school application fee waivers.

WORKSHOPS

Participate in a variety of workshops lead by field leaders and P.A.D. members. Topics include leadership development, law school admissions, financing your legal education, professionalism, LSAT preparation, and more.

NETWORKING

Join hundreds of P.A.D. pre-law and law students, alumni, vendors, speakers, presenters, and more as they network over the week’s events. Pre-Law Conference is a great opportunity to meet people from across the country that specialize in an array of practice fields and careers.

AWARDS

National pre-law awards are presented to outstanding members, chapters, and leaders. Attendees have the chance to meet P.A.D. award winning leaders and hear from prominent P.A.D. members.

We have secured a discounted rate of $179/night for Pre-Law Conference. This applies to both Single King and Double Queen rooms; rooms may host up to four people. The booking link will be available when registration opens, but chapters should note that the deadline to book a room is Monday, October 5, 2026. You will not be able to book at the discounted rate after this date.

Law Expo

The Law Expo portion of the P.A.D. Pre-Law Conference is host to law schools, law school prep, and LSAT/test prep companies. The expo is designed to help students make an educated decision about pursuing a legal degree and law career through one-on-one meetings, booth visitation, giveaways, presentations, and more.

Many law schools offer application fee waivers to conference attendees only.

In 2025, we welcomed over 80 law schools, LSAT prep companies, and other vendors to the Law Expo, and we look forward to doing so again this year. More information about the Expo for the 2025 Conference, including vendor registration, will be available in Spring 2026. Pre-Law Mock Trial Competition

The Pre-Law Mock Trial Competition is an annual competition held in conjunction with Pre-Law Conference. Teams of four from P.A.D. pre-law chapters across the country compete for first through fourth place, with additional honors for Outstanding Attorney and Outstanding Witness.

The competition is judged by volunteer lawyers and judges (both P.A.D. alumni and non-members). All competitors must be P.A.D. pre-law members. Up to fourteen (14) teams will be accepted for the 2026 Competition.

Registration for the 2026 Competition will open in Spring 2026.
