Edwin A. Anderson has handled Social Security Disability and SSI claims continuously since 1998.
Originally from California, he earned his B.A. from UCLA and his J.D. from the DePaul University College of Law where he was initiated into the Joseph Story Chapter of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, International. He was elected Story Chapter Marshal and then Chapter Justice. Mr. Anderson was awarded the Alex A. Hotchkiss Outstanding Chapter Justice Award in 1995. After receiving his J.D., he served as the International Field Representative for Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, International and visited more than 100 law school chapters in 18 months.
He is a past President of the Rotary Club of Knoxville, the City’s oldest and largest service organization. He is a past-Justice of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity International’s Knoxville Alumni Chapter and in 2018 was appointed as one of Phi Alpha Delta’s 33 District Justices. Mr. Anderson was awarded the Stan Kohn Outstanding District Justice Award in 2022 and his district was also named the most outstanding District in Phi Alpha Delta.

Mr. Anderson is a sustaining member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives (NOSSCR) and has served as a panel moderator at NOSSCR’s annual conference in Washington, D.C.
Mr. Anderson is admitted to practice before all Tennessee State Courts and all California State Courts, the United States District Courts for the Eastern District of Tennessee, and the Central District of California. On June 4, 2007, Mr. Anderson was admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States by Chief Justice John Roberts during the annual Phi Alpha Delta Day at the Supreme Court.
