Today, the International Justice announced that she has appointed International Advisory Board Member and Council of International Chiefs Member Kathleen “Kitty '' Maloney as the 2024 Nominations Committee Chair. Please join us in thanking Sister Maloney for once again answering the call to service. As Chair of the Nominations Committee, she will help execute the Nominations Process that the International Executive Board (IEB) approved during its Special General Session on December 14, 2023.
To review the Nominations Process approved by the IEB, please click here. The Executive Office will be updating the 2024 Biennial Convention and Leadership Conference (Convention) page to reflect all of the applicable deadlines for the Nominations Process. Over the next two (2) months, the timeline requires
the International Justice to appoint a Nominations Committee Chair two hundred and ten (210) days prior to the start of the Convention;
District Justices or District Liaisons to appoint a member from their respective District to serve on the Nominations Committee one hundred and sixty (160) days prior to the start of Convention; and
all members who seek to be nominated for election to the IEB or International Tribunal provide written notice to the Executive Director one hundred fifty (150) prior to the start of the Convention.
Please note nothing in the Nominations Process prohibits a member from running from the floor at Convention as the Election Process will be governed by the Rules of Convention.
If you are interested in serving on the Nominations Committee, please contact your District Justice or District Liaison. If your District does not have a District Justice or District Liaison or have any questions regarding the Nomination Process, please contact International Justice Nicole M. Grida directly. We thank you in advance for helping to ensure there is a fair and impartial Nominations Process where a representative from each of our thirty-three (33) districts is involved in vetting candidates for the IEB and International Tribunal.
