Jay Thomas Jay Thomas began his tenure with Kaplan as an LSAT instructor in 2004, and is proud to be Kaplan’s Executive Director of Pre-Law Programs. No stranger to the law, Jeff received his Juris Doctorate, magna cum laude, from the Albany Law School of Union University in May 2005, where he excelled in client counseling, negotiations, mediations, and trial practice/litigation. Jay has previous experience working in both the private and public sectors: (1) as a summer associate for Jackson Lewis, the nation’s largest leading law firm exclusively representing management in labor relations matters; and (2) as a law clerk for the New York State Racing & Wagering Board. His passion, however, lies in education, evidenced by his extensive involvement in youth and adult development in his hometown of Stony Point, New York. While working with Kaplan, not only has Jay taught countless students how to master the LSAT, he’s also had the opportunity to counsel many students on the law school admissions process. Through his extensive dealings - and friendships - with admissions officers at law schools nationwide, Jay has learned how every facet of a candidate’s application is evaluated and is available to offer unparalleled insight into the admissions process. |
