Leveling Up: Financial Controls Every Chapter Should Implement

Thursday, April 30
4:00 p.m. PT/5:00 p.m. MT/6:00 p.m. CT/7:00 p.m. ET

Fraud and financial crime claims involving student organizations are increasing, and many chapters are discovering too late that their current systems leave them exposed.

This session, presented jointly by Holmes Murphy and OmegaFi, explores the most common financial risks affecting fraternities and sororities today, including fraud, social engineering scams, phishing, and weak financial oversight. Using real claim examples and operational insights, we’ll highlight where chapters typically break down and what leaders can do to prevent costly mistakes.

Attendees will learn practical tools & strategies to strengthen financial operations while making the treasurer and advisor roles easier to manage. Topics will include implementing checks and balances, improving transaction visibility, securing banking practices, and maintaining continuity during officer transitions.

Designed for chapter advisors, campus professionals, and student leaders, this session will provide clear, actionable steps organizations can implement immediately to reduce risk and protect their financial integrity. Please plan to join Aaron Parker of OmegaFi and Jenna Lutz of Holmes Murphy for this valuable session.
