Goals and Objectives

To ensure programming, events, and training have sustainable value and relevance that secure participation and commitment.

  1. Develop a comprehensive needs assessment process to identify the interests and needs of our target audience and ensure that our programming, events, and training are aligned with those needs.
  2. Recommend processes and procedures to ensure we have a diverse range of programming, events, and training opportunities that cater to the interests and needs of our target audience while also aligning with our organization's mission and values.
  3. Establish clear performance benchmarks and evaluation metrics to measure the success of our programming, events, and training, and use this data to inform future decision-making and planning.
  4. Develop processes to continuously evaluate our programming, events, and training based on feedback and data, including incorporating new technologies and innovations to enhance the participant experience and ensure sustainability over time.
  5. Evaluate the staff capacity and volunteer development to recommend programs to ensure that our team has the skills, knowledge, and resources needed to deliver high-quality programming, events, and training that meet the needs of our target audience and align with our organizational goals.

Understand the current landscape of programming, events, and training interests and needs

  • Appoint committee or other objective lead.
  • Identify and categorize key target audiences.
  • Identify the preferred methods of contact for each target audience.

  • Research external assessment approaches used to determine interests and needs of target audiences.
  • Analyze research and data collected.

Create Report and Internal Process Guide

  • Create a report of findings and recommendations.
  • Create a process guide for conducting adaptive needs assessments.

Recommend processes and procedures to ensure we have a diverse range of programming, events, and training opportunities that cater to the interests and needs of our target audience while also aligning with our organization's mission and values.

Collect and analyze data on programming, events, and training opportunities (herein referred to as “offerings”)

  • Appoint focused working groups comprised of a wide range of members from all levels of the Fraternity.
  • Working groups to collect and analyze data regarding current offerings at all levels of the Fraternity.
  • Benchmark offerings from similarly situated organizations.
  • Analyze research and data collected.

Create a report and propose processes and procedures

  • Generate a report of data collected and results of analysis, and provide recommendations.
  • Propose processes and procedures with focused tactics at the international, district, and chapter level.

Procedure development and training

  • Create procedures and recommended "best practices"* for International-level offerings, and law and alumni chapter offerings.
  • Provide training to chapters.
  • Evaluate and update procedures and recommended best practices on a periodic basis.

Identify effective approaches for skill, knowledge, resource, and capacity development

  • Research offerings used by other organizations to develop staff, chapter officer, and volunteer skills for delivering high-quality offerings at all levels of the Fraternity.
  • Research how other organizations prioritize resources to meet staff support needs with sustainable growth mindset.

Analyze data and provide recommendations

  • Compile and analyze data on staff, officer, and volunteer skill, knowledge, and resource needs and provide recommendations on how to meet current and future needs.
  • Compile and analyze data on staff capacity and provide recommendations on how to meet current and future needs.
