About Brother Rodney Sparrow
This fund was established in honor of P.A.D. Brother Rodney Sparrow (Tilden Chapter, Ruth Bader Ginsburg New York City Alumni Chapter, Brooklyn Alumni Chapter).

Brother Rodney was initiated into Phi Alpha Delta’s Tilden Chapter at New York Law School in 1998 and later joined the Ruth Bader Ginsburg New York City and Brooklyn Alumni Chapters. He served his chapters and the fraternity in a variety of positions until his untimely death in March of 2020.

He is remembered for his unfailing kindness, compassion, and fraternalism. Rodney’s email address was always included “MyTSparrow.” He chose this not only because it incorporated his surname, but also as a reminder that even when we feel small (like a tiny sparrow), we have the ability to overcome anything.

Our Mission

Phi Alpha Delta is the world’s preeminent law fraternity because of our dedication to service: service to the student, the school, the profession, and the community.

It is through devotion to the ideals of compassion, courage, diversity, innovation, integrity, professionalism, and service that we better both our profession and our community. Through accepting our differences we become not just a law fraternity, but a family.
