Assistant Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid, Penn State Law

Amanda DiPolvere is Assistant Dean for Admissions & Financial Aid at Penn State Law in University Park, Pennsylvania.  She began her career in higher education administration in 2006 as Director for Career Services at Penn State Law and served as an administrator and instructor for the law school's externship program before joining the admissions office as Assistant Dean, a position she has held for nearly a decade.

Prior to her higher education career, Amanda practiced law at a boutique litigation firm in Philadelphia, focusing on construction and product liability matters, and participating in summer associate hiring. She left law practice to serve as a Managing Director at Major, Lindsey & Africa, where she recruited lateral associates for large law firms in practice areas like IP, labor and employment, and litigation, and developed an in-depth knowledge of the legal job market. 

Amanda speaks regularly at conferences and on panels on topics related to law school admission and has served on workgroups for the Law School Admissions Council (LSAC). She earned a B.A. from Susquehanna University, a J.D. from Rutgers School of Law, and an M.Ed. in Higher Education at Penn State University.
