"Self-Advocacy Tips for the Legal Professional": 4:30 PM Eastern (1:30 PM Pacific)

Presented by Ari Alvarez (Holland & Knight LLP) and Tiffani Lee (Holland & Knight LLP)

Description:  Whether you are a current or future legal professional, your ability to engage in effective self-advocacy may impact your ability to achieve your career goals.  Self-advocacy is necessary to create the visibility and credibility we all need to get ahead.  The inability to engage in effective self-advocacy will hinder your efforts to make your contributions, talents, performance, and potential visible to the decision-makers who can impact and accelerate your career trajectory.  In this workshop, you will learn about the importance of self-advocacy at all stages of your professional career.  You will also learn some of the challenges and barriers to self-advocacy, particularly for introverts and individuals from traditionally underrepresented groups.  Finally, the speakers will provide practical tips that will enable you to be more comfortable and effective in your self-advocacy.
