  • What is the business process to get started?
  • How to manage your “business”
  • What type of money is required to get started?
  • How to get clients, building referral sources, navigating county contracts, etc.
  • Building you knowledge base - particularly if you’re entering a new practice area

Our Panelists:

Jacqueline Justice
Ms. Justice is the owner of JJ Legal Services. Ms. Justice graduated from the University of Oregon in 2007 and has had a wide range of experience throughout her legal career including teaching and serving as a law clerk. Currently, she practices in the areas of Child Welfare/Dependency, Social Security Disability, and Employment. Prior to opening her office in March 2018, Ms. Justice worked for the Social Security Administration as an Attorney Advisor. She is further engaged in her community through work on the Goodwill of Olympic and Rainier Region Board of Directors and the Tacoma Art Museum Board of Trustees. Ms. Justice joined Phi Alpha Delta in 2005 and has served in a variety of officer roles at both the law school and alumni chapter levels.



Jason Haber

Jason H. Haber grew up in and now raises a family in South Florida. He co-founded and serves as managing partner for Haber Blank, LLP. Jason’s practice focuses on civil litigation, family and matrimonial law, business transactions, real estate transactions and litigation, community association law, personal injury claims, probate and estate planning, and appellate practice.  Jason is AV Rated by his peers with Martindale-Hubbell.

Outside of the office, Jason serves as Phi Alpha Delta’s District Justice for District XXXII and Broward County Alumni Chapter board member, as well as a member of the Phi Alpha Delta International Foundation's advisory board. Jason is also the Treasurer of his local synagogue and Past President of the University of Miami Alumni Club of Broward and past member of the University of Miami Alumni Council. Jason is a member of the Broward County Bar Association and supports Coast to Coast Legal Aid of South Florida and Broward County Legal Aid. Jason resides in Plantation, Florida with his wife, Ilea Haber, a licensed architect and interior designer, and their three children, Elliot, Ivy, and Theodore.

Nick Lee
Brother Nick Lee is an attorney at law and founding member of Lee Criminal Defense, focusing his practice on Criminal Defense and DUI/DWI Defense. Nick joined Phi Alpha Delta in 2009 as a member of UT Law's McReynolds Chapter (which has since been renamed the Sanford Chapter). Now a proud member of the Knoxville Alumni Chapter, Nick has served Phi Alpha Delta in varying capacities over the years, now serving as Chair of Phi Alpha Delta's Competitions Committee. Nick resides in Knoxville, Tennessee, where he also volunteers his spare time as Co-Coach for the University of Tennessee College of Law's National Trial Team.

Jennifer Schroader
Sister Schroader currently serves as the International Secretary on the International Executive Board. She is a past Justice and Founding Member of the South Sound Alumni Chapter as well as past Justice and Founding Member of the Arizona Statewide Alumni Chapter. She served as District V District Justice from 2016-2020 and District IV Liaison from 2018-2020. Sister is licensed to practice law in both Arizona and Washington. Although she began her career in public service as a Legal Defender in Mohave County in Arizona, she has since relocated to Washington state and transitioned to private practice, focusing primarily on family law matters. She loves the courtroom. Sister Schroader has participated in mock trial competitions as a participant, judge, and coach both for PAD and other organizations. While not busy with PAD or work, she enjoys spending time with her husband Chris, two sons Aaron and Lucas, and their dog Sawyer.
