Join Phi Alpha Delta on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at 8:00 pm ET/5:00 pm PT for the next installment of the P.A.D. Speaker Series, "Of Sound Mind - Mental Health and Success from Pre-Law to the Practice of Law."

This session will be presented by Jolene Blackbourn and Darryl Singer, with moderation by Lindsey Rames. The speakers will address what depression and addiction looks like in the profession and in school, as well as the impact of depression and addiction. There will be additional discussion of when and how to ask for help, and why you shouldn't be afraid to ask for help.

While stigmas about mental health plague our society and profession, there should never be fear of discipline for mental health reasons. Additional resources will be presented, including individual resources and professional resources (including when you are required to report concerns about a colleague). Attendees should come away with an understanding of why mental health is so important and how we can all improve the conversation around mental health.

This Speaker Series session is being presented in conjunction with Mental Health Awareness Month, which takes place in May each year to raise awareness of mental health issues in America.

This is a free presentation for P.A.D. members. Please register to reserve your spot.
