The 57th Annual P.A.D. Day at the U.S. Supreme Court event registration is now open through March 27, 2023.

Due to safety precautions and regulations set by the U.S. Supreme Court, P.A.D. Day has not taken place in-person since 2019. We plan to return to an in-person event on Thursday, June 1, 2023.*

P.A.D. makes the admission process smooth for alumni members. Eligible applicants must be in at least three (3) years good standing with their state’s highest court. If you need help obtaining sponsor signatures, please contact us as we are happy to provide those signatures to P.A.D. Day participants.

We are also offering to support those interested in being admitted via written motion. Please note that once admitted via written motion, admittees are not permitted to participate in a future in-person swearing-in ceremony. Written motion admittees receive the same benefits of the Court, such as access to attend U.S. Supreme Court with preferred seating, access to the library, and a certificate. View the complete list of benefits.

Members must submit application and registration forms to the Executive Office by the deadline of Monday, March 27, 2023.

A few application reminders:
  • You must have been admitted to practice and in good standing for at least three (3) years with the highest court of your state.
  • Your certificate of good standing must be from the highest court in the state and not the state bar association.
  • If you need help obtaining sponsor signatures, please let us know – we can help!
  • Applications must be typed.
  • If you are emailing your materials, the seal on your certificate of good standing must be visible.

Once you complete the application, please submit all documents and payment to cory@pad.org or by mail to:

If you have any questions, please contact cory@pad.org or phone at (410) 347-3118. We look forward to moving your admission to the U.S. Supreme Court Bar.

* The Court will make safety decisions closer to the event that may impact our ability to attend as a group in-person. Phi Alpha Delta will remain in close communication with all registrants as updates are available.

Should the event NOT be held in-person, full refunds will be offered to applicants who do not wish to be admitted via written motion. We will also facilitate admission via written motion to those in-person registrants who wish to change their admission method.

At this time, the Court has not provided information on guests being able to attend in-person and will not do so until closer to the event.
