Fall 2022 Society of Scholars Scholarship Recipients Announced

We are proud to announce the fall 2022 Society of Scholars Scholarship winners. Congratulations to the recipients and thank you to our P.A.D. partner and scholarship sponsor Kaplan Test Prep!

Pre-Law Winners:

Lara Derbonne

Emma Barrett (Southern Methodist University Pre-Law Chapter)

Emma Barrett is a sophomore undergraduate student at Southern Methodist University and is the Membership Chair of SMU’s Phi Alpha Delta. She is double majoring in Corporate Communications and Public Affairs and Strategic Communications and Public Relations. Her current plan for the future is to attend law school to study criminal or family law. She plans to hold a leadership position in P.A.D. for the entirety of her college career.

Millie Martinez Sosa (Rowan University Pre-Law Chapter)

Millie Martinez Sosa is an undergraduate student at Rowan University majoring in Law and Justice Studies and minoring in Political Science. In the Fall of 2023, Millie plans to attend law school and is interested in studying criminal law. Millie desires to become a prosecutor in the future with the hopes of helping and guiding individuals, specifically the Spanish-speaking community, through the intricacies of the law.

Daniel Cardwell (Reno Chapter)

Daniel Cardwell is a 3L at The Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Riverview, Florida. He completed the Business Transaction Concentration, earning elective credits in bankruptcy law, taxation of business entities, securities regulation, and UCC Article III negotiable instruments. Daniel earned his B.A., magna cum laude, and M.A. from the University of South Florida and M.A. from Northern Arizona University. Daniel is the Clerk and 2022 Convention Delegate for the Janet Reno Chapter.

Paige Harris (Robinson Chapter)

Originally from Northamptonshire, United Kingdom, Paige is a 2L at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, William H. Bowen School of Law where she is Justice of the Robinson Chapter. Paige is also an apprentice on the UA Little Rock Law Review, a Student Bar Association Senator, a member of the Bowen Trial Team, and a Student Ambassador in the Admissions Office. In 2023, she will be working at the Department of Agriculture, the Arkansas Securities Department, and the Arkansas Department of Health (as well as supporting the amazing team at Bowen Law Admissions).
