Important Updates on P.A.D. Events and Alumni Chapter Tax

At the International Executive Board Meeting held May 27, two important announcements were made regarding chapter events and the annual Alumni Chapter Tax. First, effective June 1, 2021, the virtual-only restriction on chapter events will be lifted. If your chapter plans to hold in-person events, please be sure you are complying with local regulations regarding masks, social distancing, and capacity sizes (this includes, but is not limited to, rules set by schools/universities, venues, and government entities). It is suggested that members continue to follow CDC guidelines including wearing masks, socially distancing, hosting events outside, and getting vaccinated. Please visit CDC.gov for the latest recommendations. Second, the Alumni Chapter Tax has been waived for 2021. The International Executive Board voted during their May meeting to waive the Chapter Tax for this year due to the challenges of COVID-19. The newly seated Alumni Advisory Council will be charged with evaluating changes to the Chapter Tax long term.
