To the membership of Phi Alpha Delta:

On behalf of the entire International Executive Board (IEB), I would like to thank Sister Jhanalyn Blount, Brother Steve Fenske, and Brother Cassady Toles for submitting their candidacy statements and resumes for the vacant Member-At-Large, Position D. However, Brother Toles later withdrew his name from consideration. On November 30, 2020, the IEB interviewed Sister Blount and Brother Fenske in Executive Session. The IEB commends Sister Blount and Brother Fenske for the time they spent in preparing for and attending their interviews, and for their dedication to P.A.D. throughout the years. Immediately after the interviews, the IEB discussed the candidates and elected a new International Member-At-Large, Position D.

Please join us in congratulating your new International Member-At-Large, Position D, Sister Jhanalyn Blount! We look forward to the great things she will do in her new role. We would like to recognize that the election of Sister Blount represents a long overdue Fraternity first, as she is the first Black IEB member. Additionally, the majority of the IEB leadership is female, another Fraternity first.

We invite everyone to join the IEB for Sister Blount’s swearing-in ceremony at our next Board Meeting on Wednesday December 16, 2020 at 7:30PM Eastern. As always, please email us at PADIEB@pad.org if you have any questions.

Fraternally,

John F. Miquel
