Submitting a Resolution for the 2024 Convention

If you are interested in submitting a resolution to be considered by the Rules and Resolutions Committee in advance of the 2024 Convention & Biennial Leadership Conference (“Convention”), please fill out this form below no later than 5:00 p.m. Eastern August 2, 2024.

The subject matter of and the action called for by all such Resolutions shall be clearly consistent with the mission, vision, and purpose of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, International and appropriate for consideration by the Convention assembled. The action called for by any Resolution must be possible and practical of fruition and within the financial and organizational competence of the Fraternity. If such Resolution is, or can be, construed to be directive, it must be within the power of the Fraternity to implement and enforce. The Convention Chair shall have the absolute discretion to determine whether any proposed Resolution meets this criteria. The decision of the Convention Chair shall not be subject to appeal. 

Examples of properly submitted resolutions:

- “BE IT RESOLVED that the Fraternity recognizes the efforts of all individuals working to rebuild law and pre-law chapters.”
- “BE IT RESOLVED that the Fraternity recognizes the Phi Alpha Delta staff and all other Fraternity members who worked on making the Convention a success.”
- “BE IT RESOLVED that the Fraternity recognize all alumni chapters that provide guidance and support to law school and pre-law chapters.”
