Biography
Jeff Crain is the owner and managing attorney of Crain & Associates, PLLC, a private practice law firm in Oklahoma City. His firm focuses on estate planning and trust administration, probate, adult guardianship, and landlord-tenant matters. Jeff previously worked for insurance defense and general litigation firms from 2004 to 2015 before he opened his own office 7 years ago.
Jeff graduated from Davidson College, North Carolina in 1994 with a degree in Psychology, and was immediately commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army. He entered active duty where he spent 6 years in various roles and posts as an Artillery Officer, including being a paratrooper with the elite 82nd Airborne Division in Ft. Bragg, NC. He left active duty in 2000 to attend Oklahoma City University School of Law, but continued serving in the Army Reserve, retiring in 2017 as a Lieutenant Colonel. His final assignment was as Director of Human Resources and Deputy Commander of 2nd Brigade, 95th Training Division headquartered at Fort Sill, OK, which encompassed all Army Reserve Drill Sergeant units in the Central Time Zone.
Jeff has been involved in various leadership roles with Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, International for more than 20 years. He served as Justice of Vaught Chapter while at Okla. City Univ. School of Law; District VIII District Justice (regional director for the 5 law schools in Oklahoma and Arkansas); elected At-Large Member of the International Executive Board; and is serving his second elected term as International Associate Tribune.
In his free time, Jeff enjoys exercise, travel, and playing piano. Jeff and his family have been active members of Crossings Community Church. Jeff volunteers with Trinity Legal Clinic providing pro bono legal services to low-income clients. He lives in Edmond with his fiancée, Natalie, and their 3 high schoolers. His son is a 2L at Oklahoma City University Law School, and his daughter works at The Sunrock Group in Raleigh, NC.
