About Fredrick J. Weitkamp
This fund was established in honor of our P.A.D. Brother Fredrick J. Weitkamp (Ross Chapter).

Brother Fredrick J. Weitkamp (Ross Chapter) served as Executive Director of Phi Alpha Delta from 1952 to 1992. During this period of his service to the Fraternity, the number of chapters increased from 45 to 172, and total membership increased from 30,000 to 140,000. He organized and directed 21 international P.A.D. conventions.

He and his son John F. Weitkamp (Ford Chapter) were partners in the law firm of Weitkamp & Weitkamp located in Granada Hills, CA for 30 years. He and P.A.D. Brother Matthew S. Rae are tied for the most consecutive P.A.D. Conventions attended - 32 each. Fred bled purple and gold, and he was committed to bringing scholarship, leadership, and educational opportunities for his fellow P.A.D. brothers, sisters, and siblings.

Brother Weitkamp passed away in 2018, leaving behind an incomparable legacy in Phi Alpha Delta.

Our Mission

Phi Alpha Delta is the world’s preeminent law fraternity because of our dedication to service: service to the student, the school, the profession, and the community.

It is through devotion to the ideals of compassion, courage, diversity, innovation, integrity, professionalism, and service that we better both our profession and our community. Through accepting our differences we become not just a law fraternity, but a family.
