Membership Auxiliary FAQ
What do I get when I join?
Each accepted member of the Auxiliary will receive a membership certificate in the mail, access to member benefits, discounted membership admission to national P.A.D. events, access to the P.A.D. Career Center, option to apply for the Society of Scholars, and recognition on your resume. What does auxiliary membership cost?
Annual dues are $50 and can be paid on the P.A.D. website when you log in here. Renew your dues or update your payment here: https://www.pad.org/page/auxdues. Do I have to be a student to join?
No! Membership in the Auxiliary is open to anyone interested in or already part of the legal industry. Are there any limitations to auxiliary membership?
Auxiliary membership does not include funding, voting rights within the fraternity, the ability to run for an elected position, local membership affiliation, school functions, or local events. Can I purchase merchandise from the P.A.D. store?
Yes! We would love to see you show off your P.A.D. pride. Click here to view the online store and be sure to use #PADpride or #PhiAlphaDelta to show off your P.A.D. gear on social media. My school is currently in the process of chartering a chapter should I join as a pre-law, law, or auxiliary member?
Each student without a chartered chapter, or who is in the process of chartering a chapter, will register online under the “auxiliary” membership. The student’s auxiliary membership will be accepted as soon as the Executive Office receives their online auxiliary membership application and annual dues. Once the chapter has been officially recognized as chartered by the International Executive Board and the Executive Office your membership will be transferred and you will receive a $50 discount on your international initiation fee. Please contact membership@pad.org. What if my status changes and I become eligible to become a pre-law or law student member?
If you enroll in a school where a pre-law or law chapter is already chartered, you may transfer your membership to that chapter and will receive a $50 discount on your international initiation fee. Please contact membership@pad.org. I am a currently licensed and/or practicing attorney or judge, can I join?
You are welcome to join Phi Alpha Delta as an alumni member. This includes joining on the chapter level, and a one-time initiation fee of $120. Click here for more information. I would like to charter a chapter at my school.
