Competitions Fund Grant Application - Law School Mock Trial Competition

APPLICANTS WILL BE CONTACTED BEFORE COMPETITION REGISTRATION OPENS IN OCTOBER. If you have any questions about this grant or the Law Mock Trial Competition, contact  P.A.D. Director of Technology & Competitions Leslie Plummer at leslie@pad.org

To allow more chapters to participate in P.A.D. competitions, the Phi Alpha Delta Competitions Committee offers monetary assistance in the form of Registration Assistance Grants, which cover team registration fees to P.A.D. competitions.

All P. A.D. chapters are encouraged to apply for a Registration Assistance Grant if they intend to send a team or teams to the 2027 Law School Mock Trial Competition. To apply, please complete the application below in its entirety (including attaching team member resumes). Each chapter may submit only one application regardless of the number of teams it intends to send to the competition.

Important Information:

  • Grant applications are due by midnight Pacific Time on Friday, September 25, 2026.
  • Recipients will be notified no later than October 12, 2026 (in advance of registration opening).
  • If your chapter is sending more than one team, only one team may receive funding for this event.
  • 2 full grants and 2 half grants are available for the 2027 Competition.

If your chapter receives a grant, you will receive a one-time use discount code for all or half of your team's Mock Trial registration fee. In the event that a team awarded a grant can no longer attend the competition, an alternate team will be notified. A chapter may currently receive a grant three times per five-year period.

If you have any questions about the grant or application, please contact leslie@pad.org or padcompgrantchair@gmail.com.
