At the 65th Biennial Convention of Phi Alpha Delta, many of your fellow law student delegates expressed an interest in seeing greater involvement of law students in the decisions made by your International Executive Board (“IEB”). These delegates wanted the Law Student Advisory Council (“LSAC”) empaneled for the 2024-2026 biennium.
The students wanted to see much broader representation on the LSAC, ideally with representatives from each district participating. They also expressed a desire for a representative from the LSAC to have the opportunity to participate in IEB meetings.
To this end, I am calling on the law student members of Phi Alpha Delta to volunteer to serve on the LSAC. If you are a law student who wants to make sure your voice is heard by your IEB, please volunteer for the LSAC by completing the volunteer recruitment form located at https://www.pad.org/page/Volunteers.
Interested students will participate in a series of Zoom meetings no more than once a month. The LSAC will be instrumental in helping shape the future of the fraternity for all students!
I would like to have the LSAC empaneled in time for our October IEB meeting, so if you could complete the application not later than the close of business on Wednesday, September 18, that would be helpful. Please reach out to me if you have any questions.
Phi Alpha Delta is the world’s preeminent law fraternity because of our dedication to service: service to the student, the school, the profession, and the community.
It is through devotion to the ideals of compassion, courage, diversity, innovation, integrity, professionalism, and service that we better both our profession and our community. Through accepting our differences we become not just a law fraternity, but a family.
