The International Initiation Fee (IIF) for new members who join Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, International will increase in the Spring of 2024. We have been fortunate to keep the cost down over the last few years. The last time these fees were increased was January 1, 2018.

For new members joining after April 15, 2024, the fees will be increasing as follows:

  • Pre-Law Initiation Fee: $150 (currently $125)
  • Pre-Law to Law Transition Fee: $80 (currently $70)
  • Law Initiation Fee: $100 (currently $90)
  • Alumni Initiation Fee: $130 (currently $120)

Members and potential new members may ask what the IIF covers. The cost per member for the Fraternity is actually well over the price of the International Initiation Fee. The IIF includes the cost of new member certificates and pins, unlimited recruitment materials, and general liability insurance for each member, chapter, and the international organization. The funds generated from the International Initiation Fee also allow us to provide stipends for pre-law, law, and alumni members to attend P.A.D. events, and provide our members with access to needs based scholarships and grants. Once new members pay the IIF, they are also entitled to receive all of the benefits that come with membership, a list of which can be found here: www.PAD.org/MemberBenefits.

Additionally, $2 of the IIF from each new member is transferred to the Phi Alpha Delta International Foundation, which is P.A.D.’s charitable entity that funds special projects, provides member support, and sponsors events. For more information about the Foundation and its mission, please visit: www.pad.org/Foundation.

As a reminder, monthly payment plans are available for each of these membership fees. This fee increase only affects members joining after April 15, 2024.
