Rules and Resolutions Committee Announcement

The 63rd Biennial Convention Rules and Resolutions Committee chaired by International Marshal, Nicole M. Grida, held its first meeting on Tuesday June 9, 2020.  At this meeting, the Committee recommended that Victoria Leisey, a law student member from Frankfurter Chapter be appointed as Committee Clerk; Jaquon Irby, an alumni member from Lamar Chapter, be appointed as Committee Recorder; and Allison Hedrick, a law student member from Wiener Chapter be appointed as Committee Marshal.  All three appointments were made by the Chair and will be reflected in the Committee’s meeting minutes.  A full list of Committee Members can be found here.

 

The Committee has scheduled two additional virtual meetings to take place this month:

These virtual meetings will take place via Zoom and the videoconference information, along with an Agenda, will be posted on the P.A.D. website at least 48 hours prior to each meeting.  Minutes of all Committee Meetings will also be posted on the P.A.D. website following approval by the Committee. Finally, the Proposed Rules of Convention – 2020 and the Fraternity Bylaws and Fraternity Policy Manual referenced in the Proposed Rules can be found here.

 

Pursuant to Rule 7 of the Rules of Convention Committees – 2020  adopted by the International Executive Board, "[a]ny law, alumni, honorary and lifetime member of the Fraternity may participate in any call as an observer and may, at the discretion of the Chair, discuss any proposals before the Committee."  Please note that Rule 7 also provides that the Chair set reasonable time limits for observer comments.
