Hike to Health and Happiness at Multnomah Falls

This year, the P.A.D. Health Initiative presents the “Hike to Health and Happiness at Multnomah Falls” wellness activity at the 66th Biennial Convention and Leadership Conference in Portland, Oregon.  According to the National Park Service, hiking is proven to have many health benefits, including physical exercise and emotional and mental relief that comes from being in nature.  Regardless of the trail, hiking is an effective full-body workout improving your physical, emotional, and mental health.  As such, the PADHI is encouraging all Convention attendees to take some time out of your busy Convention schedules to hike Multnomah Falls.  Multnomah Falls is the tallest waterfall in the state of Oregon at 620 ft in height and offers a 2.4-mile roundtrip hike to the top featuring stunning views of the waterfall and the Columbia River Gorge.

About the Foundation

The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization and serves as the charitable arm of our Fraternity. While closely aligned with our mission, it is a completely separate legal entity from the Fraternity, which is a 501(c)(7).

Led by Chair Brother Thomas Bentz, the Foundation Board manages our Convention Grant Program and provides essential funding for fraternity-wide events, including the 66th Biennial Convention & Leadership Conference, the Law Mock Trial Competition, and the Pre-Law Conference and Expo.

The Appointment Process

Pursuant to Section 3.2 of the Foundation Policy Manual, the International Executive Board (IEB) is responsible for appointing three (3) of the Foundation’s seven (7) Trustees in even-numbered years.

• Term of Service: Two years (September 1, 2026, through August 31, 2028).
• Deadline for IEB Appointment: June 30, 2026.

How to Apply

If you wish to be considered for a Trustee position, please submit your application via email to Executive Director Andrew Sagan no later than Wednesday, May 29, 2026, at 5:00 PM ET.

Your application must include the following materials in Word or PDF format:

• A Statement of Intent: A short summary (no more than 500 words) explaining why you want to serve as a Foundation Trustee and what you hope to accomplish during your two-year term.
• A Resume/CV: Highlighting your service to P.A.D. and any other non-profits with which you are, or have been, affiliated.

Any member who seeks to be nominated for election to the IEB or International Tribunal shall provide notice to the Executive Director by Thursday, August 6, 2026 at 9:00 p.m. Pacific.

The Nominations Committee will meet during Convention on Friday, August 7, 2026 from 1:00-6:00 p.m. Pacific Time. Members may serve on the Nominations Committee in-person or virtually.
