Knoxville Alumni Chapter: Dollywood Weekend
Join the Knoxville Alumni Chapter for a casual weekend of Smoky Mountain Fun and a trip to Dollywood Theme Park during the weekend of August 9-11, 2013.
All Alumni and law student members are invited to join us. Our plan is to arrive in Gatlinburg, Tennessee on Friday, August 9, 2013. We will have a casual East Tennessee BBQ dinner and an evening visiting the attractions on the famous Gatlinburg strip. If you choose, you can ride the aerial tram to Ober Gatlinburg ski resort and entertainment area.
On Saturday we will spend the day at Dollywood.
P.A.D.s will depart on Sunday August 11, 2013 (or stay over until Monday--it's okay with us). Those staying over can enjoy a picnic in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
Gatlinburg, Tennessee is located in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and is approximately a one-hour drive east of Knoxville.

Those traveling by air should reserve plane tickets now. Plan to fly into Knoxville's McGhee-Tyson Airport (TYS) as early as you can on Friday, August 9. You may be tempted to fly into Nashville. Don't do it. Even though it may be a little bit less expensive, it's a 3-hour drive each way from Gatlinburg.
