  • Frederick J. Weitkamp Tribute

    As he is laid to rest, today we honor our Executive Director Emeritus, P.A.D. Brother Frederick J. Weitkamp.

    Phi Alpha Delta is better for having Fred. He will be sorely missed.
  • Fredrick J. Weitkamp, Executive Director Emeritus Passes

    Dear Brothers and Sisters, 
    It is with heavy heart that we announce the passing of Fredrick J. Weitkamp on September 1, 2018. Fred was a P.A.D. icon and legend. He led Phi Alpha Delta as Executive Director for 40 years. Under his leadership, the fraternity prospered and grew exponentially. 

    Once funeral services are arranged we will post those details.

    We have established the Fredrick J. Weitkamp Memorial Fund to honor Fred's dedication and love for P.A.D. Our suggested gift of $32 is in honor of Fred's 32 conventions either attended or planned. 

    We love you Fred. Our deepest sympathies to the Weitkamp family and the entire Phi Alpha Delta family.

  • Updated Policies Posted

    Dear Members, 
    The Fraternity Policy Manual has been updated and published. Of note are the following:  new Whistleblower and Ombudsman policy language, Council of International Chiefs, and submission of amendments to the Fraternity Policy Manual. 

    Also, there is amended language in section 3.3 of The Fraternity Policy Manual regarding Termination of Membership. 

    Finally, there is a new complaints procedure policy, P.A.D. International Event Code of Conduct, and an online incident reporting form. We are dedicated to the safety of all of our members, particularly at P.A.D. events.

  • Deadline to Book P.A.D. Convention Hotel is Monday, July 16

    To all our members attending the upcoming Biennial Convention and Leadership Conference - don't forget the deadline to book a hotel room at the Hyatt Lexington is next Monday, July 16th. The room block will close after that date and we will not be able to guarantee room availability.

  • Submitting Candidacy Statements

    If you are running for a position on the International Executive Board or International Tribunal at our upcoming Convention, you may submit a one page candidacy statement that will be posted on the Convention website. Candidates are responsible for bringing copies of any handouts to the Convention for Nominations Committee review.     The One Lawyer Can Change the World Scholarship offers one hard-working law student a $10,000 scholarship to help offset the cost of 1L tuition.

  • P.A.D. Day at the U.S. Supreme Court, Registration OPEN

    Since 1967, P.A.D. has offered members the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be admitted to the Supreme Court Bar. The 51st Annual P.A.D. Day will be held on June 3-4, 2018.

    We make the admission process smooth, affordable and memorable for P.A.D. alumni. To be eligible you must be in at least 3 years good standing with your state bar. If you need help obtaining sponsor signatures, please contact us. We are happy to provide sponsorship to P.A.D. Day participants. The process is simple and the event is one of the most significant in an attorney’s legal career.

    As the first law fraternity to open membership to those of all races, creeds, gender and national origin, today we're proud to be part of Martin Luther King Jr.'s dream.

  • Reminder - Student and Military Convention Grant Applications due this Thursday!

    Don't forget - applications for the Student and Military Convention Grants are due this Thursday, November 30!

    These $500 grants helps fund the attendance of multiple P.A.D. students and members/spouses of the military to the 2018 P.A.D. Biennial Convention in Lexington, KY. 

    Grant opportunities include the AJ Villmer Student Grant (for student delegates to Convention), the Brigadier J. Derek Hill Grant (for current or former military), the Rhonda Hill Military Spouse Grant (for spouses of current or former military), and more!
