The ANND* Campaign: Funding Technology to Build P.A.D.'s Future
Phi Alpha Delta is seeking to remain at the forefront of technology which will allow us to better serve our membership, now and into the future. Your help will insure that P.A.D. and the P.A.D. International Endowment Fund will be able to grow and maintain relationships amongst its members. Our goal of $60,000 will allow us to build a better membership database and organize and redesign the P.A.D. website.

The Frank J. McCown Permanent Fund of the P.A.D. International Endowment Fund
On May 16, 2007, Phi Alpha Delta lost devoted brother and P.A.D. Past International Justice, the Honorable Frank J. McCown. Brother McCown's service to the Fraternity began at McKinley Chapter where he was the Justice. From 1967-1970, he served as an Assistant to the Supreme Justice and traveled extensively throughout the U.S. and Canada. From 1970-1972, he served as District X Justice. At the 1972 Convention, Brother McCown chair
ed the Merger Committee, overseeing the merger of P.A.D. and Phi Delta Delta Women's Legal Fraternity.
In 1972, he was also elected to the Executive Board as Supreme Treasurer. At following Conventions, he was elected Supreme Advocate, International Second Vice Justice, and then, in 1978, International Justice. Following his term as I.J., Brother McCown served as Pre-Law Director, spurring on a period of tremendous growth in our Pre-Law Program. After stepping down from this position, he served as Region D Coordinator, overseeing law school and district activities for one-fifth of the Fraternity.
At the Awards Banquet of the 1986 Convention, Brother McCown received the highest honor that a P.A.D. member can receive, when he became the 15th member inducted into the Distinguished Service Chapter.
In all, Brother McCown attended 19 Conventions, his last being the 2006 Convention in Dallas.
In memory of Frank McCown's years of service, we have created the first "permanent fund" of the P.A.D. International Endowment Fund designated as "The Order of the Armadillo" - The Frank J. McCown Permanent Fund.
