Stephen T. King

Stephen hails from Rockingham County, Virginia, where he grew up on a small farm nestled in the Shenandoah Valley. He graduated with a B.A. in English and History from William & Mary in 1992 and then graduated from William & Mary Law School in 1996. While in law school, he served as Wythe Chapter clerk and attended the 1994 P.A.D. convention in Conroe, Texas. He also served as alumni advisor to Wythe Chapter immediately after law school.

After moving to New Orleans, he became District XVI Justice (Louisiana and Mississippi) in February 1999. Stephen remained as district justice until the 2006 convention, when he was elected to serve on the Tribunal. After serving one term as Associate Tribune, Stephen was elected International Secretary at the 2008 convention. He was re-elected to the position of International Secretary at the 2010 convention.

Stephen worked for the Department of Labor, Office of Administrative Law Judges (Newport News, Virginia) from October 1996 to July 1998 and with the U.S. Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit, Staff Attorneys Office (New Orleans) from August 1998 until April 2002. He moved to Hattiesburg, Mississippi and served as a career law clerk for Judge Charles W. Pickering, Sr., U.S.

Circuit Judge, Fifth Circuit, from April 15, 2002, until Judge Pickerings retirement in December 2004. Stephen is currently working as a career law clerk for U.S. Magistrate Judge Robert H. Walker in Gulfport, Mississippi.

Following Hurricane Katrina, Stephen and his wife Michelle and daughters (Chloe and Noelle) moved for higher ground, to Wiggins, Mississippi. Stephen and Michelle have since added a son (Soren) to their brood.
